A good microphone is also worth what you pay for it. As a dad, you may want to chronicle the events in your children's lives with video. If so, a good mic will make the narrations more pleasant for those with whom you share those precious memories.

i would recommend that you torrent the full version of audacity, or any other applicable program, since most pocket draining programs have been hacked by somebody, and can be downloaded for free, i recommend http://www.thepiratebay.org its a very good torrent site, and as for a good torrent program, i recommend utorrent. good luck.

allow me to rephrase now that I've had coffee constuctive criticism - ie background noise sucks donkey balls try X welcome...

comments without suggestions -especially if you cant do better- will be ignored

How can I make something with bad sound? Find me a software editor that has noise reduction and costs under a hundred bucks. Dont say audacticy cause the free version doesnt have NR. (sorry the background noise is a pet peeve of mine but one I cant do much about short of laying out cash that I would rather spend on my children since this gig doesnt pay :P)
