    With silent subs: they are designed to be beyond the audio frequencies that the human ear can perceive. The idea is that if the conscious mind is not able to perceive the suggestions: the subconscious can apply them easier.     Hey, soundguy here. Your subconscious can't get a message that sounds higher than 20khz, most of us can't hear a thing over 14khz, and most of the telligible information of human language is between 125hz and 4khz. So subliminal messages beyond 20khz are pointless, most speakers and headphones won't even reproduce a sound that high. Additionally, in order to make a sound higher than 20khz you would need a sampling rate above 48khz, something like 96khz, which would take a potent processor/soundcard and a huge audio file size
