Maybe you should try not sleeping while using it. Sleeping can actually make a file less effective. Although a trance can resemble sleep, sleeping and trancing are not the same. You may also want to try a different file. Just because one doesn't work for you doesn't mean that none will work for you....

How long one takes to work varies considerably depending upon the individual and the file. Which ones work also depends upon the file and the individual.

As for the last one, you might want to give the folks here more information on what you have tried, which file or files you are trying, etc.
