Experiencing years in a single dream? I can't say I've ever had a dream that lasted that long. Or one that lasted even a day. Were some days/weeks/months skipped in between?

Maybe they make it so you more easily learn stuff and are more anxious to learn that stuff.

Can a dream really seem to last that long in such a short period of time?

Wouldn't you be unable to remember the file if you're falling asleep, too? In either case, it's too bad I usually wobble in and out, and the body usually gets started before I get into the dream-trance state.

There is no evidence which I know of which supports out of body experiences to be nothing more than an illusion. I have the same problem. I get uncomfortable if I try sitting when I trance, especially once I relax and wind up leaning on top of myself, so I also lay down. And my throat gets dry as well, and after the slightest thought about it, I wind up swallowing. Kinda distracting, because my throat winds up...

I say get the curse removed. You're obviously not gonna be able to enjoy the curse, so getting removed is probably a good idea.

Well personally I wouldn't find relaxation through belly rubbing a big problem. I myself like being petted on the head, but that's because of my rug hair rather than the effects of the file.

Just because you remove the curse doesn't mean you'd have to stop listening to EMG's files. He has plenty of files that are of a (at least partly) different subject.

True, about every lucid dream I've had ended as I woke up. But I have to wonder if it's any different from anybody's who a natural light sleeper.

I'm wondering on that first time, did you seem to black out, or did you wind up having some light dreams when you went out? I'm not sure that dreaming means it wasn't a trance, especially if you did wake up as it told you to.

I'd probably say Enchanted Keyboard, as while that one can involve some pretty advanced stuff, you can still use it to get you to do stuff that doesn't require so much imagination.

I think Train Sleep Reinforce would prove more effective for sleep-related hypnosis.

If it isn't working super-well, you could always say that you'll imagine such-and-such happening. Better than saying something will happen and be disappointed when it doesn't happen at all.

I use it when browsing on the net or chatting in forums and chatrooms, as background noise. Not sure if it works that way, but that's how I do it.

I'm sure hallucinations (both visual and, um, the word for sense of touch, and probably other senses as well) would be possible, but it would likely take longer for them to take full effect than it would simply causing yourself to do something or act a certain way.

I'm sure your mind must be able to get the gist of what was trying to be said. If it was interrupted too badly, it ignores it.
