--and an OLD sure fire approach

Why not just plug your audio out into a tape recorder? you can even just put a recorder in front of the speakers.
I'm told that they now even make cassette recorders that don't run on coal anymore =<)

Sometimes, a file is downloaded with realplayer with a suffix of PHP among others that RP says it can't open and then does a search to find info on the net--and can't. What do I do to open these? Could all the files be given a number so we can more easily

I find there are lots of interesting files that I want to try. I have trouble finding them later. If they had a number, I could search for that #
