To be honest so am I, and sometimes I feel I'm better at giving advice than anything else :P I don't recall having read this on the forums, but another thing I've discovered that helps me a bit is keeping to the same routine when you listen to files. What I mean is try to keep the variables like tim...

I couldn't agree more! I hate to pop in randomly after a long hiatus, but I'd like to add one small thing to cardigan's reply... I have a bad habit of trying out a file, giving it a few plays and wandering off to something more enticing without giving it enough of a chance. Stick to it, and if you r...

Wow, I've only managed to hit that once or twice in a few months of practicing. I consider it a huge success when I manage to "zone out" and come back right at the end when instructed to. Good for you, jarett, you've hit the trancing nail on the head!

I'll leave it to the gurus and experienced folks to give real advice but I can give some encouragement :) An important thing to remember is every person is different when it comes to trance. Some people can get results in one or two listens, others like myself have to keep hammering away at it. An o...

I've been in the same boat for quite some time now, so I'll throw my two cents in and share a couple tips I've discovered for myself so far. If you can sort of wind yourself down before trying any hypnosis it could help a lot. I've had a ton of trouble myself when it comes to deepening trances and t...

Wow, I thought I was long winded but generally I try to relay some coherent thought at the same time. Reading the OP took some real effort to process, and a lot of it was simply there to sound smart. I'm no stranger to using fancy words, but only when they're more effective than simple ones. That sa...

I'm kind of in the same boat I suppose. It's been about two weeks since I posted my first topic here asking for advice and the search continues for an induction that can help me take that last step down into a deep trance. I've found a lot of inductions work on me to a degree, but none of them I've ...

I'm concious throughout, I just feel like I don't want to do anything else but listen to the voice talking to me. That sounds a lot like my experiences, so maybe I'm doing just fine after all. :) What works best for me is an induction which uses your body to relax... i.e. "take your attention to yo...

The more you experience trance the easier it becomes to go deeper. Some people can take longer than others. Some people go deep on their first attempt. How do you know your not going deep? Well, I'm not sure if this is just a preconceived notion about trances or not but I usually find myself complet...

An Inconsistent Study

Greetings everyone! I'm in search of a bit of advice regarding deep trances and hopefully I'll be able to figure out the (likely self-imposed) problems I've been having. As the subject line implies I'm quite the inconsistent study; I started looking into hypnosis in general about a year ago, maybe m...
