Don't mistake anything you read here for medical advice.
There are lots of potential causes for ED. Many of them are medical and should be checked on by a physician. One of the most common causes is medication side effect. Low blood pressure or an other vascular issue might also be the culprit. There are more possibilities. Any of these would be reasin enough for scheduling an office visit.
That said, there's a simple diagnostic that you can do that will cost a couple of bucks to see if any of this stuff will help. Get a strip of lick-and-stick stamps (not the peel-and-stick, please) with perforations between them. Wrap them around your penis before you go to bed and secure them at the ends: tape 'em or lick one of the stamps. You're making a sort of postal cock ring. In the morning, check the stamps. If they're torn along a perforation, it's a safe bet that you're having nocturnal erections. If they're torn through the middle of a stamp, you rolled over on 'em and if they came off without tearing then something unknown has happened. (Penis gremlins. Sexually disgruntled postal workers.) If the stamps aren't telling the story, try again.
If you're having nocturnal erections, then we're in business. If the wedding tackle works while you're sleeping, it's probably a psychogenic problem and not a physical one. If that's the case, scan the archives here. There's almost certain to be something on this site that will have you as hard as Chinese algebra in no time.
Of course, for a custom-tailored solution, you should probably see a professional provider in your area. Hypnosis isn't the only answer, even though it's one I really like.
Hope all this helps. Good luck.
