Did I enter some kind of short trance?

I tried doing CurseCum a day or so ago (after previous 'failed' attempts; this was my fourth or fifth time listening to it) and I entered a state that I am hesitant to call a trance, because it could have been the beginning of a dream or something. Basically, I continued hearing the file as normal during the induction phase, but this really strange.. noisy thing entered my mind; like I was falling down into.. well, I guess the best way to describe it would be that it reminded me of that swirly thing that's often associated with hypnosis. I 'woke up' from this thing before the induction phase was even over, though, and listened to the rest of the file with, again, no results.
Any ideas about what that was? Any suggestions about how to make the file work better?

My guess is, that you started to go much deeper than was normal for you, and you had this kind of swirly sensation, that freaked you a little out, and made you come out of the trance - or back to a very light trance.
My advice would be to try again, and to say to yourself, that it is OK if you imagine yourself being sucked into a vortex - or something. For some reason your subconscious seems to be associating that with trance. If you practice, then either this will stop, or you will get so used to it, that it won't matter any more.

I know I am entering trance when the little pinpoints of light you normally see when you close your eyes become only three or four

When I became good at entering trance, I felt a weird sensation in my forehead - like the hair was starting to stand up. It freaked me out at first - also because the same sensation started to come when I was awake and was concentrating on something. This is probably due to the fact that we go in and out of light trances all day long - depending on what occupies the mind.
So I got used to that sensation, and now I welcome it, because I know that it means trance is not far away. :-)
