Is going into trance with your eyes open better than closed or vice versa?
..or is it like a whichever works best situation?

I've only noticed some hypnotists mention eyes getting heavy or the act of closing them...

It's a personal preference thing, whichever you're most comfortable with, I don't recommend closed for watching spirals on youtube Most people are more comfortable letting their eyes close but it's just as possible with your eyes open.

Either whatever works for you, or however your file is designed. Some of mine are designed on the assumption that the subject is opening and closing their eyes according to my instructions, others are silent on the matter and it wouldn't really matter for those.
