Playlists using VLC on an ipad

I’m not sure if this is the right forum or not, but I couldn’t think of any where else.

I listen to my files on an iPad so that I can lie down and relax. The only media player I’ve been able to find that will do playlists is VLC. (If anyone can suggest a more suitable one, please do so.

I have not succeeded in figuring out how to create a playlist that will play one introductory file and follow it with another file that repeats indefinitely. If I set either file to LOOP, it seems to apply to the whole play list (I.e., it will play the introductory file, the looping file, then go back and play the introductory file again, etc.)

Can anyone help? Thanks.

If you are going to create a playlist, could you just use something like Audacity to join all the files into one long file. You would start with the introduction, then file1, file1, file1 as many times as necessary. You could make an 8 hour file that way for a whole evening.

This would not work if you want to keep changing the order of the files though.
