Can I know the differences between the file types?

Im am going to buy some files but I don't know which type Is the one I need. How they work esch one of them and wich one has been proven the most effective 8O :P :?:

Different things work better for different people, but in general the stuff that causes mental changes work better than ones that cause physical changes.
The files have a rating with them; that should be a pretty good indicator of how well they worked for the people who used them.
