Trying to do it before bed... and then complications...

So I decided to listen to a file or two before going to bed, just to get my self in a relaxed enough state to sleep. So as I listen to the file it works fine, I reach an EXTREME level of relaxation and trance, and then the awakener comes in, and I'm WIDE awake. Now I can't roll over and go to sleep since I'm so damn awake. The files have no post-hypnotic suggestions saying I'll feel well rested etc, so I dunno if it's me, my body, or the files. Any suggestions?

Listen to a file after the file you are listening to with the awakener removed.
To ensure restful sleep.
Or if you are any good at editing, remove the awakener yourself.
If this is not one of your strengths.
You may find someone can do this for you.

ahh interesting, so basically your saying to just let the trance fade from my subconcious on its own and in the process of letting the trance fade, the feeling of fatigue will just set in on it's own. That's pretty neat.

I also don't think I'll have any trouble editing the file, I do a lotta sound editing work as part of my love of game development and programming :)

Thanks a bunch!

Or you could try cutting in the end bit from the 4-hours sleep file ... if I remember correctly, its like the normal awakening bit but with 'asleep' instead of 'awake'.
