Setting

What is the best setting area to be in when trying to go into trance... can you watch tv? or have lights on? just looking for suggestions

Somewhere with no distractions.Doesn't matter if lights on or not.TV is not a good idea.

I definitely agree that the television is a bad idea, unless you happen to stumble upon a documentary on snails. :lol: The lights don't matter, but for a novice trying to get into trance, I'd recommend that the light be off, just so you can focus better. I usually turn my lights off even though I have done it successfully with lights. The best place to relax is a soft bed, with as little pillows as possible I might add.

Television is a trance induction. It's just a lousy one. The utilization is worse, still.

Milton Erickson's first professional office was a card table and a couple of folding chairs in a noisy street-side room. People go into trance while running marathons and driving cars. Don't sweat the details.

The subconscious is right there! Talk to it!
