Ultrasonic (silent) files

I was wondering if these types of files have to be listened to on their own or would it still work if i was to say watch a movie while it was playing? I understand that they are for using wile doing other things but would other sounds negate the effect?

It would of course depend on what movie you were watching. But I'd think with most movies then it would work fine.
