At the beginning of the file EMG says that your conscious mind will ignore everything that's said and go about doing whatever it's busy with. It sounds as though you're supposed to play the file looped while you browse the internet, clean the house, exercise or whatever you might occupy yourself with while listening to a file like this. I could definitely feel a light trance while it was playing, and as it suggested at the start I can barely remember anything that was actually said. For the record, I played it around 5 or 6 times and I usually have a very good memory for remembering words, so it seems to be working quite well.

I'd just like to know if it was designed to be played after trance has been induced or if I'm approaching it the right way.

you are approaching it just fine. If the file needed a trance to be induced there would have been an induction. That file is intended for listening while doing other things.
