Voting page problem

Well, this isn't a problem with the voting page exactly, but...

I upgraded to IE8 yesterday, and now IE lags when I load the voting page. I've seen it happen on some other places, but that's the only one I visit regularly. I wondered if anyone else had something similar happen, and if anyone knew any solutions to the issue. Aside from changing browsers. I'm sure I'll be hit with that one, but I'll brave the onslaught to ask the question anyay.

i had to change to IE 8 to keep IE from shutting down every 10 minutes, it was annoying as hell when my computer done that.
