well yeah, my question is which of the transformation files gives best effects, is easiest and quickest to work with, etc.

As far as getting visual and tactile effects down, none of them. They'll each likely take a long time for you. But the Trig Werewolf file also includes changes in how you act (temporary and when you want, of course), which would probably be easier to achieve than going straight for imaginative effects.
