Obviously I'm only suggesting this for the purposes of role-play, I accept no responsibility for anyone actually doing this. Do not underestimate brainwashing techniques, conditioning can be very powerful!
I would suggest a chair with straps to secure the arms, legs and if possible the head safely. Also good padded headphones, secured to the head if you can.
One idea would be to play a hypnofile to a spiral on a computer screen, but you might want to use frequencies instead of spirals. The brain operates on different frequencies which affect mood and state of mind. When your mind is buzzing with 100 different thoughts, that's a high frequency. When the mind is groggy, that's a low frequency. Trance is a very low frequency and sleep is the lowest. By surrounding someone with stimuli pulsing at a certain frequency, you can affect the speed that the mind is working at. Your brainwashing room sounds ideal for this.
I would recommend a frequency between 3 and 6 Hz for this (Hz being beats per second for the non-scientific). In a dark room, exposed only to light and sound pulsing at a fixed frequency in that range, a sub might find it very hard to think clearly after a few minutes. Obviously, with a computer, light and sound can contain messages, instructions, statements for the sub to absorb. Even with very simple and direct statements, the sub could easily get to a stage where they "think" the statement before they fully understand it. This results in a game of catch-up which the sub cannot win. It is an intense experience and can have lasting effects.
To get pulsing messages on your computer, there are probably a variety of programs that you can use. One in particular, subviewer, appears to have been custom designed for conditioning. This program is not to be confused with the subtitles program of the same name, and seems to be available for free, under the name of jsubviewer, from here:
http://wareseeker.com/free-subviewer-presets/
though I got my copy from one of the several subviewer yahoo groups.
(edit: downloading from the yahoo group is recommended, details below)
Subviewer flashes image files on the screen at a frequency chosen by the user. It can also play an mp3 file at the same time. The images, sequence, frequency and length of session are all programmed into a "preset" which is saved on your hard drive, so you can go from one session to a completely different session with no fiddling about. So you could create a preset with 100 images in order, an mp3 file to play at the same time, to run at 180 images per minute (3hz), looping for 30 minutes and have this ready to go at any time.
To create a basic pulsing light and tone, create an image the size of your screen that is all white and another that is all black. Get Audacity (from download.com), generate a tone and use the tremolo effect to make it pulse at, say, 4hz, wetness 100, save as mp3. Create a subviewer preset with your two images, 240 images per minute (4hz) and add your mp3 file. Save. Run. As long as the image freq and the sound pulse freq are the same it should work very well. Probably quite a learning curve, but once you know how to do it you can knock something like this out in a few minutes.
From there you can add messages, photos and graphics to your images, record verbal instructions for your mp3 file, whatever you like. As long as it is all pulsing at the same low frequency it should be effective.
Or you can just use a spiral and a hypnofile.
Sorry for the long, and probably very boring, post. I get excited. hope this was useful. Let me know what you do!
Good luck,
ZAP
