How do I use audacity to uncover the subliminal hidden in a sound file?

You can't. Unless you have the project file then you can't see the different layers of audio separately. And you'd have to get the project file directly from the author, most people don't even keep it either.

This is one of the difficulties that goes into making tracks for Rock Band and other such games, because they have to hound down the recording studio to get the "master track" that has every layer of audio separate from each other.
