I don't mean to be an advertizer to certain file, but you should definitely check out how this is done:

It's just text-to-speech, but it's still strongest file for me so far. Maybe there's binaurals, echoing words or something, but overall effect is that it's constantly making sound. It doesn't let me have a single thought of my own, it's entirely filling my mind (in a nonstop stream over 40 minutes). The speech doens't have breaks, just going on at its steady pace all the time. The effect is very strong.

I'm just guessing that this might be something that more files should be doing.
