Okay. For the sake of argument, let's say that your core point is true - that is is a psychological effect. Isn't...that what hypnosis does? The whole point is to use psychological influences to change the way one perceives or responds to other stimuli to have desired responses. So what if it's simply "psychological" that bloodflow stops happening regularly, that the brain perceives it as smaller, and that it becomes a self-reinforcing mini-delusion. So what?
