Creating Hypno Files

Postby hypno-nut » February 9th, 2006, 1:39 pm

Can anyone tell me how to record my own hypnosis files ? I have a microphone but don't know how to create a recording with it. What do I use to make one ?

You need a program to record sound with - that is a sound editor. I use Cool Edit Pro myself, but there are several programs out there which are shareware also.

Other than that you need experience in hypnosis :-) No, really. If you don't have a script, that you want to record exactly as it is written, you need experience in constructing the wording of the file. And you also need to practice a certain tone of voice on your recordings. Monotonous is definitely better than bright and cheerful :-)

But if you find some suitable software to do the recording with, just practice. And try the files on yourself to see if they work.

I wish you good luck!

Audacity (http://audacity.sourceforge.net/) is a great open-source (free!) audio editor. I'd try to use it to make hypnosis files if I wasn't so self-concious about my voice...

Given the quality of purely electronic voices, Birchwood, you're probably better off trying a falsetto.

Then again, who knows. After a little scavenging, I found this site:

Each file has a free trial download, you might want to give it a shot.
