Physical feelings?

Postby Knitted » July 9th, 2011, 11:34 am

I havent been here for quite a while. I remember going on a trip which led me to having no computer access at all, meaning I couldnt listen to anything, and so all hypno-related thought were reset, and I just gave up coming here.
But I really like trancing when it succeeds. It feels nice :)

I have a few questions though. Even though I seem to be able to trance at some of the longer, more special files. I'd like to know how I can help succeed with physical files. I think they are fascinating. Being able to feel an extra limb, or a feeling that isnt caused by anything external such as pain... or even an orgasm. But I have no success with those, and Im so curious.

Can anyone tell me how they got to succeed with those? Was it just persistent listening? Was it continuous practice with trancing?

Files seem to have an effect on me when they are just mental things, such as weird desires being installed in my brain :p

But the physical file just wont do anything, and it's a shame, cos they seem really fun. And also the story-based files seem fun. But it's all too elaborate for me I suppose.

I do have difficulties trancing often. I have a short attentionspan, and even when I trance, I sometimes feel a slight shock of awakeness. like when you almost fall asleep, but then suddenly your mind just awakens a bit before falling asleep fully. How do I prevent this from happening.
Also, I try to listen mostly when im not too tired, cos otherwise im pretty sure i fall asleep. Does falling asleep hurt the hypnose?

Ok so this is all a bit confusing and all over the place, but I hope someone can ease my mind :p

Continuous practice and listening is going to be effective. Barriers to success will break down as you slowly erode any resistance you might have, and so on. I also use EMG's "VisualizeHelp" file somewhat - it's rather useful in general, although I've only gotten to tactile hallucinations, not visual ones (mostly).

The best way to keep from falling asleep is to trance in a chair or something. Unfortunately, I don't really have access to a nice comfy chair, so I'm always stuck with the dilemma of whether shifting around is worse than risking sleep. Your mind isn't receptive to hypnosis under sleep (even sleeplearning is apparently impossible), so try to stay awake.
