Are subliminals better for analytical minds?

I am new to hypnosis. When I have listened to files, I think that I do go under, as I get that relaxed feeling where I can't move my arms or legs. However, I am still aware of my body in that I do feel cramped up, or aware of needing to swallow. Besides this, my big concern is that my mind is still active, where I'm analyzing what is on the track or at least consciously thinking about it. As I tend to over-analyze things in general, this does not surprise me.
I was wondering if it would be better if I put some tracks under music and listened to them subliminally. I read on some posts here that you can do it with Audacity, which I am familiar with. That way, I'm listening to the music, while not really thinking about the underlying track. If so, would any kind of music work, or would it be better with instumental only? If I use the tracks subliminally, do I need to remove the induction/awakener?

I think taking out the induction/awakener are necessary. It seems like your on your way. I also think listening to subliminals before listening to a file to go into trance really helped me. I also close my eyes and tell myself what the purpose of the subliminals are for, and then I go about doing stuff on the internet.

you should give yourself the freedom to swallow, scratch your nose, and do whatever you need to be comfortable, it will lead to a much better trance. if you find yourself worrying too much about what is said in the file, many people have found it helpful to let their minds wander and daydream about other stuff. you don't have to actively listen to the file with your conscious mind, because your subconscious is always listening.
subliminals can also bring about powerful changes. you sound like you are responding somewhat to the suggestions since you feel that nice heavy feeling and you don't want to move, so you should be able to get results from traditional hypnosis files. but many people who seem to struggle with traditional hypnosis do have good results with subliminals or brainwashing loops
everyone is different though, over time you will find what works best for you

Thank you both for the advice. I'll give it a try. As far as music, should I use only instrumental, as vocals would mix and confuse the subliminal messages?

I seem to have the same problem and would like to try this as well. Can you link the audacity posts XD?

I put some files under piano music. I don't think I put the files low enough, because they break through during low parts and at the end of songs. How would I make them low enough where they still work, but I can't really make them out or hear them?

Subliminal listening should be like not being aware that they are there. Even though they are there your just not paying enough attention to whats going on. For subliminal messages, I think that you have to listen to them a lot. The way I think about it, is like a gentle conversion of your mind. I mix the two up a bit just so that my awareness meter is worked out, where the file is just playing completely hearable and then there is the ones that are low volume and with some music. The most important part for me though is that I go into a slight trance and tell myself what the subliminal is doing or suppose to do.
As far as how low to put the subliminal depends on your earphones, some just wont play anything if its too low or a different frequency. Some just cant handle it.

Hearing a little of the subliminal usually does not prevent it from working. I have subliminal layers on my overnight file and they are about 80% inaudible, but they still work really well (I can piss with an erection now and those suggestions are only in the subliminal), despite being under voice and audible in a few places. If you are doing it for yourself and you don't care if you can hear it a little, don't worry about the fact that some of it is noticeable.
