Yes, I have known several subs who lived it in real life. Go slow, find a hypnotist you trust, and take the time to get to know him.

Not a thing for files alone, but face to face it's doable.

the bambi sleep files make me think its possible from files alone, but you are better off doing it in person.

I saw posts by someone on the site who seemed to be telling the truth about a hypnotist changing him drastically. But, I have no personal experience with permanent change in terms of something like someone's personality being changed. However, I do have conditional effects that might actually change me to be way different than I normally am. You could test it, but I can't actually risk telling you the words that were designed to alter me.
