Some of the files that I have listened to tell me I won't remember their contents, but afterwards I remember parts of the file. I also remember just laying there listening. So I guess I have 2 questions

1 Am I actually in trance?

and

2 Will I eventually forget the files contents once I get better at achieving
trance?

Most people can remember, but you may

1. VERY deep in trance
2. In a half sleep that allows you to hear bits and pieces.

This is basically what Stewie said but I would like to add one thing: you can listen to Deepening 1 and 2 to perfect the level of trance so that it's not to light and not too heavy.
