Changing perception through hypnosis

I could use some help building up an idea I had for a file. The idea comes from the "Trig Anime World" file from the voting page. It seems like a nice idea, since I see the anime world as more beautiful than the real world, but I also wish to solve this problem without having to see the world in 2D. So the idea is generally to change your perception of the whole world into something more beautiful.
I can think of two ways to go about doing this. First, there's a method that could be compared to hallucination; a file suggests that your own ideals of beauty changes how you see things. Example: You compare a painting of a fruit bowl to the actual fruit bowl. You find the painting more beautiful. After listening to the file, the real thing will have changed to look more beautiful than the painting.
The other way, pretty much the opposite: A file suggests that your ideals change to reflect on reality. Basically you will change your mind and think that the real world is more beautiful than any fictional world. Example: You compare a painting of a fruit bowl to the actual fruit bowl. You find the painting more beautiful. After listening to the file, the painting and the real thing will remain unchanged, but you will believe that the real thing is more beautiful.
I would add more words, but I'm afraid it'll all sound like gibberish. I hope what I've already said is understandable.
So, which of the two sounds best? Or are there any other ways? Does it sound like it's possible at all? Does the idea interest you at all? If I can get a 'yes' to the last two, I might also need some more details on how to make it work.
