New to this and needing advice

I am new to this and have tried some files including files that are just inductions. I have not had much success but I do become very relaxed , but cannot say that I have been hypnotized. I feel like I am starting to go under but just barely and can't seem to go all the way. Is there a file progression I should go through to get to the point I can be taken under and use the files? I always seem to be distracted by different thoughts in my head and can't concentrate on or visualize what is being instructed. I would appreciate any help or advice, I really want to make this part of my life.

Being distracted is a good sign. This shows your concious mind is starting to float off and do other thngs whilst your unconcious is listening to the contents.Welcome to the world of trance.

Like whatthe75 said, it's good to have your mind wander. As far as the relaxation goes, if your body is relaxed, then that's step one of two. The second step is to get your mind relaxed. Everyone relaxes a little differently, and if your mind is wandering, like I said before in agreement with whatthe75, it's a good sign that says your mind is relaxing as well. Just let yourself go and let the files you listen to take you deeper each time. The more you learn to teach yourself to let go of your conscious self, the deeper into trance you'll go.
Thanks

Thanks for the replies. I am glad to hear what you are saying, I was starting to think maybe it wasn't working for me, but I will just keep trying and hopefully it will just happen. Is there a certain file or type of file that will help me along the way, I mean is there a file you would recommend for someone just beginning.
Thanks again,
G

Everyone is different so just keep trying files untill you find something that works for you. I, personally, have the best responses with Cardigan's files. But like I said, it all matters on what works for you.
