When a man is driving a vehicle -
- driving along smoothly and confidently
Sooner or later, he's going to stop.
And since you've asked about a self-activated trigger,
let's pretend this driver is going to intentionally stop the vehicle.
Let's face it, a vehicle stops sometimes because a driver takes actions that are unintentional. And the scientific term for fainting is central ischaemic response.
But right now our concern is about an intentional stop.
You already know the vehicle will stop after the brake pedal is pressed.
But for some reason, you're wondering whether there's a correct way - a better way to step on that brake pedal.
is it "_______ Time trigger" or "_______ time for me"?
BigGuy, words are representational.
The word "brake" is not the brake.
- It's merely a concept we recall
- It's merely a vocalization we hear or say
- It's merely a series of squiggles printed on a page
BigGuy, entrainment must happen first.
There was a time when you didn't know about brakes.
- Maybe you heard someone talk about the brakes
- Maybe you learned the difference between "breaks" and "brakes" in a classroom
- Maybe you saw someone use a brake pedal and you felt a change in velocity
That's entrainment. Through habit and repetition, your wonderful mind begins to associate a feeling and a concept with the word "brake".
Once your mind has the skill of going into trance:
- It can recognize a concept and go there
- It can recognize a vocalization and go there
- It can recognize text and go there.
Success depends on entrainment.
You already know about stopping at railroad crossings -
- You already know about waiting safely
And recently, you recognized a feeling as you watched railcars go by. You recognized it as trance.
And if you wanted to go one step further, you could begin hanging out by the railroad crossing... waiting there to watch and to feel the sense of zoning out. But entrainment with a real train might be a little dangerous, don't you think?
Now that you're aware of entrainment -
And now that you're aware of the representational nature of words -
- you get to make a choice
is it "_______ Time trigger" or "_______ time for me"?
