Different people start out responding to hypnosis in different ways. Amnesia is particularly tricky. Just as some people remember many of their dreams, and others hardly ever remember any dreams, some subjects are, at least initially, more likely to experience post-hypnotic amnesia than others. You may be in either category, and it isn't really a sign that you're a good or bad subject whether you remember you sessions or not.
For now, just concentrate on listening, relaxing, and going with the flow, and sooner or later you can experience whatever level of amnesia you want to experience.
