Abruptly ended trances

Postby mistermano » September 17th, 2011, 5:34 pm

I've been interrupted mid-trance twice now, breaking it totally and probably sending a lot of adrenalin through my veins.

Other than getting scared, are there other downsides to being abruptedly interrupted mid-trance?

In my experience, nothing other than annoyance at wasted effort. Perhaps a few seconds of disorientation like you might experience after waking up in the morning.

Ditto. Got one of those unexpectedly with an old EMG file, which had background noise surprisingly similar to the ringtone of my phone. Quite a shocker, that.

I often get a similar sensation when the induction of a file is badly spliced onto the body, and the voice (even if the same person) doesn't quite match in volume and tone.

I have people in the house and frequently get interrupted with no bad side effects at all, except being aggravated :) :?

The worst thing that can happen if you're woken up mid-file is that you have to start the file again from the beginning.

If you're conditioned enough, you can sort-of only half wake-up when interrupted, and after solving whatever problem woke up up, go back down into trance quickly and continue the file. There are files somewhere meant to train you to do this, but I don't remember where or what they were called.
