The Menu Bar - Refreshing?

I browse around the site quite a lot and mostly its great, the files section bugs me on occasion but thats fine. I know how much work it would take to get it changed to my idea of perfect.

The thing that really bugs me is that if I read through the topics on a particular section of the forum (Meeting Grounds springs to mind) and go somewhere else the icons that tell me if a forum section don't refresh. I know I can do a hard refresh on the page to get it working, but is there any way to fix this so that I don't have to do that?

Or is it my browser caching things and making a mess?

I don't know if this will help you, but on the main Forum Page, there is a link titled, "View posts since last visit" it will take you to a page listing the latest posts from all of the forums.

Its that kind of thing, it just annoys me that the forum menu list can't update itself like the forums themselves do, I mean the data is obviously there because the forums do it...
