It sounds like there are a lot of people from Washington, enough where we could have a munch. A munch is a public meeting where we can all get together and do a meet and greet at a public place, like a restaurant or bar. its very low key, Munches often help those who are curious about the lifestyle meet others who may be able to help them become more comfortable and better informed. Munches can also be a place to get advice.
