That sounds like a pretty good start.
It's not just a matter of having the trigger set in your mind, but of learning to produce the various changes in perception the file calls for. That's likely to take quite a while, and may happen in stages.

Don't give up, don't get discouraged, focus on what
is happening rather than on what isn't happening yet.
Eyes-open visual hallucinations, especially posthypnotic ones, are things that
very few people will be able to produce right off that bat, and that some people may never be able to produce at all. It may help - and probably won't hurt - to listen to the VisualizeHelp file.
