hi folks,just been looking thro 'who's online' & the thought struck me that most profiles don't even have the gender of the person listed ! nor the location,surely a small amount of info like that isn't gonna hurt anyone,is it? i think it would improve chances of contact & /or meets a great deal :) :wink:

It's probably mostly laziness (we just wanted to get as much filled-in as necessary to get to the files/forums), but for me at least I don't want anyone to be able to identify me IRL, and I guess I'm a tad paranoid that even putting my state might help do that :P

Donna, sometimes you can get a fairly good idea about someone from the phrasing and content of his/her posts. Take Jacara for instance. Can't you tell from the keystrokes that it's really Rick Santorum? Rumor has it that he checks in occasionally between backing the Prez's constitutional amendment du jour and voting to spend money that's never raised.

If you plan to convince 34,000 people to put particulars about themselves in a site profile, my hat is off to you.

Jacara, you've got it good compared with Goldragon. I have been listening to the geographical ouija board file, and I have concluded that he lives very near Cuba. But he's a long way from Florida. I'm sure he'll vouch for me, especially since I haven't given away any useful information here.
