Hello everyone :) Please bear with me!
I'm really new to all this, been lurking for about 4-5 days now, listening to several files at night with my iPod before I crash for the night.
I had been listening to Blinks Basic Induction, then after reading some comments on the board I switched to Cardigan's Deep Trance.
I didn't think I was getting anywhere until tonight when I kept mentally picturing myself falling deeper and deeper into some water when a strange sensation came all over my body which I figured must be this "deep trance" everyone talks about.
But instead of feeling relaxed my heart started racing a million miles a minute and I was having a hard time breathing. I didn't stop tho, cuz I figured it'd wear off (which it only did after the file ended and I started moving around)
I headed back to the forum and read that this can be due to subconscious fears about being hypnotized. So I listened to the file several more times, and I was able to reach that feeling w/o my heart racing! yay for me.
But this is my main question - How do I know I'm in a trance? Can I know? Should I be aware at the time? My body feels heavy and kinda tingly, but my mind is still sharp, is this right?
Or should I just keep listening to the file over and over again til I "black out" like some others have posted on the board?
At one point after it says "Your arms are tired, you can't move them, just try." Should I really try? It feels like I could probably move them if I want to, but I don't try because I'm trying to relax more and more.
And lastly, whenever I get really relaxed and start making headway, I uh.. get a raging stiffy :oops: I pretty much have to masturbate and start the file over again b/c it gets too distracting. Any advice on that? Or just keep on doin what I'm doin? :lol:
Any help would be appreciated, thanks. Really looking forward to exploring the world of hypnosis now that I'm starting to get somewhere.
