Thats exactly right. leave the MEDICAL advice to the GP.NOT phycological. Do you know how a doctor assertains and prescribes for depression?
I was giving one example of many i have worked with as an EXAMPLE.All of which were CURED after they stopped taking the pills and i worked with them physcologically.
Would i tell someone to stop taking drugs for cancer hell NO.But physcological problems are not solved with drugs. All the drugs do is supress the symptoms so that the patient can be a managable person to the general public and get on with life.I have never met known or heard about a phycological problem that was CURED with drugs. All the drugs do is mask the problem.
A therapist/hypnotherapist as mentioned by dark will find what the cause is etc and work with it and eventually guide the patient into freeing themselves.Something drugs wont.
I'm not disputing the fact that medication only treats the symptoms of psychological disorders and not the cause. What I am saying is that despite the fact I know that, I'll leave the advice on what to do or not to do to someone QUALIFIED. If hypnosis HAS to be involved (if you know for sure the depression comes from a psychological cause in this case, surely a counsellor would be more logical than a hypnotist?) then the best place to ascertain that would be to consult a hypnotherapist - not a bunch of erotic hypnosis fetishists.
Just so I'm not seen to be having a go at the Topic Creator here I'd like to point out it's perfectly understandable you looking for help here, if you feel you're out of options.
However, I'm not a trained hypnotherapist, so I would feel uncomfortable even suggesting the use of hypnosis myself. If anyone out there IS a QUALIFIED hypnotherapist, then that's a different matter.
