I just want to make someone act like a chicken. I'm learning how to do hypnosis now, but by the end I want to do stage hypnosis. I want to make someone think that they really are a chicken. But I'd never do that, I just think it'd be funny to turn people into animals.
The old cliche, eh?
The thing is I've never actually seen someone act like a chicken, even for stage hypnosis.
The other thing about stage hypnosis is that, more likely than not, they won't actually
think they are a chicken, they'll just act like one.
Think about it - the situation isn't ideal; you've got a crowd, loud noise, your own voice is booming from the mic, rather than being gentle and acoustic. Stage hypnosis (from what I've seen at least) uses a faster, more rallying method of speech than the laid back gentle voice you'd use in a private one-on-one.
All these stack up to mean you're not likely to get a really deep trance from someone, hence why a stage hypnotist filters people out first by doing exercises for the whole crowd. This will pick up responsive and outgoing people who will play along to the suggestions, but not necessarily believe them.
I still think not all the people onstage need be hypnotised - if everyone else around youis acting like they've won the lottery, and you're supposed to be acting that way too, wouldn't you feel a bit silly NOT acting like you've won the lottery?
