Using a computer speech program for nonself trigerable files

I've tried using the basic speech program that comes with windows xp for files don't say anything about being self trigerable. It seems to work, but I wanted to know from EMG, cardigan and the like if they think it works good. I know its not as good as having a real person, but its something.
