The video is a guy doing it, and the 2nd link is pic saying the details. I haven't tried it yet. I saw the pic first and though it was to dangerous, but after seeing the video I want to try it! :D

It can be dangerous, there was a fad of this in Japan a few years ago, and one guy went to the garage... he won a Darwin award! Say no more...

Yup - his internal organs anyway - hence the Darwin award

Interesting. This seems to work on similar principles as competitive eating. I am assuming the alimentary system is conditioned to hold more air over a period of time.

There are actually a number of people doing this on the net. The big thing that I have seen are two rules for it. Go slow, and if it hurts stop immediately.

im usually a lurker and dont post much, but as a medical professinal i have to say please DO NOT do this. so what if people on the we are doing it. This and competitive eating are two totally different things, the stomach is made to expand, the large bowel is not, and it does stretch in this way. Forcing air into your bowel, just a small amout of air could force fecal matter into a diverticuli, this is what happens with appendicitis only its in the appendix... bad.

A ruptured large bowel equals death, even if the rupture itself doesnt kill you the ensuing infection most certainly will.
