File or script making

Is it considered bad form to record someone elses script..or write my own and record it.

Well, if you are only using whatever you make for personal use, then who's to know? If you are planning on publishing something that has a large piece of someone else's work in it - or maybe recording a script that somebody else wrote, then you need to get the permission of the original author to do that. If they refuse you that priviledge, then you must respect that. Anything else would be bad form.
