a total newb question

Postby dracolich35 » February 1st, 2009, 10:26 am

ok so i started trying to get into hypnosis recently, and i don't have a problem going into trance, but i notice that i become aware between files if i try to listen to more than one, or at the begining of a file if i have it on a loop. i didn't know if this is normal or if there is something that can be done to help.

Well, Cardigan has a lovely file that helps keep you in trance as you change to another file(just search files by Cardigan).

If this doesn't work, chop off the inductions and awakening bits from everything but the first file, keeping the bodies intact.

thanks for the tip, i just got a hold of audacity, so i'll try editing the files to my taste. i do have one other question though, what is the difference between the regular files and the subliminal and bi-neural files. do they work differently, and if so how. are they meant to be listened to a different way?

Yes, the use of regular files, subliminal and binaural files are different. Well, a binaural file is a lot like the original file - except it has had binaural beats added - to bring the brain into trance faster. The beats encourage your brainwaves to go from Alpha to Theta - thus making you more susceptible. A subliminal file is a file where you are almost unable to hear what is being said, because there is a lot of noise or music on top of the file. These files have no inductions or wakeup and can be looped easily. Theory has it, that a subliminal file can slip past your conscious mind unnoticed and un-hindered, so that your conscious mind won't block any suggestions by accident. (The jury is still out on both counts.)

thanks a lot cardigan, but i have one more question, do the subliminal files from the site have music already playing or are they made to be played behind your own music. And does it make a difference what music they are played with cause i was thinking about toying around with them, i just want to be sure that i know what i'm doing

Take any subliminal file and start it. Throw any music on that suits your fancy and then turn the file's volume to a level where you can hear it murmuring under the music.

As Cardigan said, this is not entirely proven but I seem to have some success doing this.
