ox, not sure if you're interested, but if you wanted to document your IQ loss i would suggest two sites:

http://nicologic.fr (it has a bunch of different IQ tests)

and then there's this:

http://fr.okcupid.com/tests/the-mensa-iq-test (probably not totally accurate, but i'll bet it'll get the job done.)

i'd be curious to see your results.

Report 2

Postby OxyFemboi » January 24th, 2009, 2:45 am

Hi there.

I [Tyler] am not sure how much longer Ox can keep reporting.

Jekket, I had to stop using your Deepener file. After a night of listening to the Be Dumb! file, when I listened to the Deepener file when I was awake, I kept thinking one thing every time: Showoff! I know all the numbers were there from listening earlier but I kept missing numbers. And I'm not sure which ones.

I had what I could only think of as a revelation [by the way, we're a multiple personality and Tyler -- the anarchist -- is typing this] while listening to the Be Dumb! file: Ox is going to be illiterate and innumerate [I think that's a word -- the numerical version of illiterate]. And Ox loved it and fucking didn't care if he was or not.

I'm sure I had some other shit to report but I can't think of it, so that's it for now.

Okay, what is the multiple personality thing? Is this a deliberate effort to keep part of your psyche separate to monitor your progress?
Your other personality is named Tyler? "You are not the car you drive! You are not your fucking khakis!" :)

Mulltiple personality thing

Postby OxyFemboi » February 25th, 2009, 11:57 pm

Yeah, we are a multiple ... and it sort of doesnt fit with anything else but it is and we deal with it.

Tyler is another personality whos destructive and kinda weirded out ... who named myself after the dude in Fight Club iffn any you saw that .

There's a few more others of us floating around but we''ll only cum out as neededds.

More later

How it's going....

Postby OxyFemboi » March 1st, 2009, 12:29 pm

well, the Be Dumb! file is working ... fair ... so far. Right now I need to take it easy on listening to it; I need some [more] intelligence ... and way more income. I need to work with Mom being in a personal care home while I have the 'privilege' of paying her bills, my bils, and all that other good shit.

I'm hoping to have her Bank take over this responsibility shortly so I don't have to worry about paying her bills and mine on two incomes that won't stretch to pay for both people's bills. My income partiallly pays my bills. But Mom's income -- well, most of it is taken up paying for the personal care home [with less than $ 100 left over] -- and several hundred dollars of bills monthly.

This means I need to juggle creditors who are demanding payments with an insufficient amount of funds. Oh, joy, the wonders of non-socialized medicine and creditors having automated dialing....

I'm considering making a sequel, but for that I need to hear from anyone who had some success, or not, so I know what to imrpove on in the next Be Dumb! file.

Dumb File

Postby OxyFemboi » April 30th, 2009, 7:58 am

Hi.

As I suggested in a private e-mail, a file making one forget two number -- say three [3] and seven [7] and all numbers containing them -- would be great in making you totally innumerate [the mathematical equivalent of illiterate]. This would have the effect of making you forget not only 3 and 7, but also all numbers containg them -- 3, 7, 13, 17, 23, 27, 30-39, 43, 47, 53, 57, 63, 67, 70-79, 83, 87, 93, and 97 in the first 100 humbers ... making there be only 64 numbers in 1-100 ... and 512 numbers in 1- 1000 ... and only 4096 numbers in 1 - 10,000.

You would also be convince that, some numbers that are not prime -- like 9, 21, 49, .... are prime and thus not divisible by anoy other number. Well, since you don't remember 3, and 7, they aren't.

The general formula for the number of numbers in a given set of nujmbers of 1 - [10 to the nth power] is 8 to the nth. In other words, for
1 - 10 8
1 - 100 64 [8 to the 2]
1 - 1,000 512 [8 to the 3]
1 - 10,000 4,096 [8 to the 4]
etc.....

This should totally fuck up any ability to do mathematics ... or even basic arithmetic.

Wouldn't it be easier just to forget the numbers 0-9?

Frogetting nujmbers

Postby OxyFemboi » April 30th, 2009, 4:01 pm

NO, because you still want the appearance of being able to do basic arithmetic ... but this way, the actual ability is fucked up but not the appearance of it.

For example, 2 + 2 = 5 [count on fingers: 1, 2, 4, 5] and 12 is [number of fingers on both hands [1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12]. 12 + 12 = 25 [12, 14, 15, 16, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 24, 25] + one penis + 2 balls = [26, 28, 29] = 29.

Is this fucked up or what? :D

Interesting idea, but I wonder if it is too oddly specific to really be possible for a length of time. I could see it as a suggestion while under, but could you make it stick?

I get it - but it's weird that it comes out to a bunch of binary style things... Even reading it fucked me up though, I almost started to believe it - and it's pretty sweet to be able to retain the "appearance" of being able to do it, but just getting the wrong answers :P

the forgetting numbers thing is unrealistic, and im pretty sure no one who wants to "be dumb" wants to actually forget numbers exist, which would not be possible anyway. i'll give you suggestions, jekket, when i get the opportunity to hear the file. it should be free pretty soon here.

BDBU

Postby kaiser » May 1st, 2009, 8:21 pm

I am not saying that person actually forgot numbers. However, The argument that it is impossible to forget them is not true, in my opinion. Numbers are a system created by humans for tracking things. It is taught to us by our educators at a very young age. However there was a time in history when they did not exist. Therefore, in Theory it would be possible to forget them.....

but in practice, your concious mind would not allow suggestions like that to truly take effect. regardless, forgetting numbers has nothing to do with the intended effects of a "dumb" file.

True, actual innumeracy would mean that one is unable to comprehend numbers and math, not simply forgetting all or certain numbers. Illiteracy works the same way. So an effective stupidity file would either have to discourage intelligent thought one way or another (through negative or positive reinforcement most likely, both of which I've seen on the voting page) or go beyond the act of forgetting to outright lack of comprehension.
