question about editing existing files

Hello. I heard that editing an existing file makes it less likely to work. Is this true?

That may depend on whether you've listened to the file before. If it's new to you, it shouldn't, as long as the edits are reasonable. If you've been listening, the file may become less compelling when edited, at least that's been my experience. But it can still work. The subconscious will tend to repress the part that's edited out, at least that's been my experience.
