repost: xy chromosome to xx

has anyone thought of making a file where it changes all of the xy chromosomes into xx chromosomes? personally i think that would be a great file.

Yes people have thought of it. Yes, files like that exist. No, they don't work.

That would be like you picking up an apple one day and saying "if I think really hard about it, I can turn this apple into an orange". It's silly. The best you could do is convince yourself that it was an orange.

Beyond that - would you really want to do a process that rearranged your genes? What would happen if it went wrong?
