On the subliminal files, the volume of the spoken words is reduced so that they can barely be made out, and the voice track is mixed with another track that more-or-less masks the words. The words can still be heard and understood if you're close to the speakers and listen intently, but otherwise, all you really hear is the masking track.

Also, the subliminals are made to be looped and listened to while you do other things, so will probably not have the induction and awakening segments.

The regular files are regular, simply put.

The subliminals are files with a file on top of them. My understanding is the louder file (the extra one) is the one your consious listens to. The softer file (EMG's voice) targets the subconsious, which is what hypnosis targets. Their best for looping.

But, the regular files work better than the subliminal?

That depends on the person. For some people subliminals work better because there is no actual trance involved. Many people find them to be good reinforcers of the regular files though.

Are you supposed to use headphones or loudspeakers?

Since part of the idea seems to be to loop them while you do other things, I'd favor speakers. For me, it's easier to treat something as background if I'm not using headphones.

OTOH, if you're used to carrying around a CD or MP3 player while you do other things, then try doing it that way. The tones may be more ... intense with headphones, and that may bother some people.
