Quality Headset

Can anyone recommend a good quality headset?

I have been shopping a lot on Amazon, I just don't. trust their ratings and reviews.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

The best way is to go to a store where you can actually try on a sample pair, even with the very best ones there's no way to be sure they'll be a good comfortable fit unless you try them on since people have different shapes and sizes of heads.

I have a big melon, my biggest concern is sound quality off the mic.

I don't know if you would consider getting a separate mic with headphones but I recently got Audio Technica ATHm50 headphones and they sound very good and the build quality is very good. The only downside, which doesn't really bother me, is the cord is not detachable. But there is a company that sells them with a detachable cord for a few extra dollars. If you don't want a long cord they make a coiled cord version.

/edit: I was experimenting on low frequency binaural tones and 20hz was very audible. I could even hear 15-19hz tones but probably not enough to be useful.
