chat howto - or would some of you please have more patience

it has come to my attention that there seem to be a lot of people that
enter the chat, say hi, then leave 2-10 minutes later

thats not how it works, since we have nobody sitting there waiting for *YOU* to come in and answer right away you need to wait a bit longer for us to notice you

some of us are even at work, and can take quite a while to respond,
just flying by is pretty much not gona cut it

so please have some patience and stick around till someone notices

im not sure of the complaint will trigger any change in behavior

but i wrote it off to here, and will no longer care to get irritated by it
so at least it does me some good
