A place to discuss the files and hypnosis in general

Is it beyond the powers of all hypnotists to make a Humblebundle equivalent for hypnosis?

People pay what they like for a collection of files with openly shown parts of the contribution going to the producers, the vendor, and to charity. As an added incentive not to be a real tightwad, there are bonus, generally higher quality, files available for those that pay over the average.

It means that authors get far less per item distributed, but far more for each creative effort.

Users would benefit from inexpensive access to something that that would be more effort to steal, healthy introduction to new authors, and the feel good of knowing that they are helping improve the world.

Payment providers are possibly a bit of a snagging point. Perhaps they'd rather orphaned children were starved and exploited in real life than people hear rude words.

But if a grown up payment handler, hypnotists and their listeners could swing it, the world would truly be a better place.

There are random sales from time to time on this site, and there are TONS of free files here as well. Free files vastly outnumber the pay files on this site.

Another thing to keep in mind is that most files here have an alternative, or several alternatives. If for some odd reason a file fell out of your favor, there would be 9000 others that could supplant it.

And lastly (in terms of not directly addressing your post) is that you can custom-order work from many tists, and should that prove to be a waste of time, you can drop your idea in the voting area or in the "challenges/ideas" sub forum, and perhaps someone will take it on. Should both of those fall through, then I personally would suggest that you get a tist to help you with what it is you want to achieve.

As for the contents of your post, I think this is a Good Idea. There are implementation issues, but if someone with pay files that weren't selling (even in a typical "sale") were to submit their file to the handler, then they might see some money out of it.

I think there's a prominent difference between 'tists and devs, which is that devs have a more vested interest in getting stuff relatively right the first time. There are way too many tangy-grade files out there that would need weeding out for a HB to work.

PS: And if by some chance you are planning on doing something like this off-site, I'd be happy to volunteer a bit of time to help. If you want to do something like this on-site, send EMG a PM. He's certainly bundled series of files together into packages before, in addition to being the big-dog here.
