It is almost 100% guaranteed that listening to files while you sleep will not help in any way. The reason that I don't say exactly 100% is for two reasons:
1. Give the benefit of the doubt
2. There may be periods during sleep, where you are almost awake - possibly in the REM state - and where you are in a trance-like state. In theory it could be possible to influence somebody right there. But its highly unlikely IMHO.
Also there's the hypnotic principle based on the subject's belief: If the subject absolutely believes he can benefit from hearing things in his sleep, then that will tend to happen. If somebody thinks a hypnotist can only hypnotise you correctly when swinging a pendulum back and forth, then this is how to hypnotise that particular individual. You work with the subject - not against him :P
